Turn it on — iPhone and iPad

  1. Open Settings › Apps › Safari › Extensions.
  2. Tap Supercharge Extension and turn it on.
  3. Tap All Websites and choose Allow.
  4. In the same Extensions list, turn on the Supercharge content blocker row. That row is the ad blocker; it is separate from the extension.
  5. Open Safari and reload a page.

If you choose Ask instead of Allow, Safari will ask for permission on every new site and modules will not run until you agree.

Turn it on — Mac

  1. Open Safari › Settings › Extensions.
  2. Tick Supercharge Extension.
  3. Tick the Supercharge Ad Blocker content blocker row in the same list.
  4. Click Edit Websites and set All Websites to Allow.
  5. Reload a page.

Pause it

Open the Supercharge popup in Safari, tap the pause button and choose 15 minutes, 1 hour, Until I resume, or Pause on this site.

You can also pause from the app, from the menu bar icon on Mac, from a Shortcut, and from Control Center.

Pausing turns off every module. To turn off just one, use the switch next to that module.

Allow ads on one site

Some sites ask you to turn off your ad blocker, and some break without their ads.

  1. Open the site.
  2. Open the Supercharge popup.
  3. Turn off Block ads for this site.

The site is added to your allowlist and stays there until you remove it. The allowlist is on your device.

A popup still gets through

Send it to the studio. Reported sites are fixed in the next update.

  1. On the page with the problem, open the Supercharge popup.
  2. Open Details and tap Copy technical details.
  3. Email support@syntyaxis.com with the page URL, what you saw, and the copied text pasted in.

The technical details are about the page, not about you. You can read them before you send them.

Questions

Is there a subscription?

No. US$4.99 once, in your local currency on the App Store. There are no in-app purchases and no paid tiers.

Does one purchase cover my iPhone, iPad and Mac?

Yes. It is a universal purchase, and Family Sharing is on, so your household is covered too.

What does Supercharge collect about me?

Nothing. There is no account, no analytics and no server that holds anything about you. The App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.

Which versions do I need?

iOS 17 or later, or macOS 14 or later. The AI actions in the Selection bar need iOS 26 or macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence; the rest of the app does not.

Do the AI actions send my text somewhere?

No. They run on your device using Apple Intelligence. The selected text does not leave it.

Why did a site break?

A module removed something the site needed. Pause Supercharge for that site, or switch off the one module that caused it. Then email the URL to support@syntyaxis.com so it can be fixed.

Does the ad blocker slow Safari down?

No. It uses Safari's own content blocker, which Safari applies before the page loads. Nothing runs on the page to make it work.

Where are my settings and highlights stored?

On your device. If a future update adds iCloud sync, it will use your own iCloud account, and it will be optional.

Does Watch keep running in the background on iPhone?

No. On iPhone, Watch runs while the page is open.
