How to play

Each puzzle shows 16 words that form four hidden groups of four (later levels have groups of five). Tap the words you think belong together and tap Check. A correct group flies off into your flock; the color and the number of birds show how tricky it was. Find all the groups to finish the level.

Hearts

You have four hearts per puzzle, and a wrong guess costs one. The app tells you when you are one word away. Out of hearts? Watch a short ad for two more, spend coins, or restart the puzzle.

Coins and hints

Finishing a level earns coins, more for fewer mistakes. Spend them on Theme (reveals one group's title) or Solve (completes a group). When coins run short you can watch an ad instead. On the results screen, Double coins plays an ad and doubles what you just earned.

The daily puzzle

A new puzzle every day, the same one for everyone. Finishing it keeps your streak going; the home screen shows the last seven days. The streak follows your device's date.

Ads

Word Flock is free and supported by ads: a small banner from level 6, an occasional full-screen ad between levels, and video ads you choose to watch for rewards. The first five levels have no ads. iOS asks once whether ads may be personalized; change that any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland a consent form appears on first launch; revisit it from the app's Settings › Privacy options. Details: privacy policy.

Resetting progress

Settings › Reset progress puts levels, stars, coins and your streak back to the start. This cannot be undone.

FAQ

Does it work offline?

Yes. Every puzzle ships inside the app. Without a connection you simply see no ads.

Does it work on Mac?

Not at the moment. Word Flock is for iPhone and iPad.

Does my progress sync between devices?

No. Progress stays on each device; there is no account and no iCloud sync.

Can I remove the ads?

Not yet. An ad-free option is being considered; tell us at support@syntyaxis.com if you would like one.

A word or group looks wrong

Email the level number and the group to support@syntyaxis.com. Puzzles are hand-checked, but 480 levels is a lot of words.
