Word Flock
Privacy policy
Effective 28 October 2026.
The short version
Word Flock has no account, no sign-in and no server run by Syntyaxis. Your puzzles, stars, coins and daily streak stay on your device. The app is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob; the ads are the only part of the app that collects anything, and this page says what, why and how to limit it.
What the app stores
Which levels you have finished, your stars and coins, your daily-puzzle streak, your sound and haptics settings, and when the last ad was shown. All of it is kept in a small file on the device. Nothing is uploaded to Syntyaxis. The app does not use iCloud, so progress does not follow you to another device.
Ads
Ads are served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC: a small banner on the home, puzzle and results screens from level 6, a full-screen ad between some levels, and video ads you choose to watch for extra hearts, hints or double coins. No ads appear in the first five levels.
To request and show an ad, Google's software inside the app sends Google technical information about the device and the ad: an approximate location derived from your IP address, device type and operating system, which ads were shown and whether they were tapped, app-performance and crash data, and an identifier for the device. Google uses it to pick ads, to measure them, to stop fraud and, where you allow it, to personalize ads. Google's use of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Your choices
Tracking. On first launch, iOS asks whether Word Flock may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you allow it, Google can use your device's advertising identifier to choose ads for you. If you decline, you still see ads, chosen from context rather than from you. Change your answer at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. The first launch shows a consent form from Google. Choose Consent, or Manage options to turn off what you don't want; ads adapt to your choice. To change it later, open Settings in the app and tap Privacy options.
US states. In US states with their own privacy laws, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your information: open Settings in the app and tap Privacy options.
Personalized ads from Google. You can also turn off ad personalization for your Google Account at adssettings.google.com.
What Syntyaxis sees
Aggregate ad reports from Google: how many ads were shown and what they earned. Nothing that identifies you.
Children
Word Flock is a general-audience word game and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone through its own features. Ad requests are limited to a general-audience content rating.
Network
The app's network traffic is Google's ad and consent services, described above. Every puzzle ships inside the app; nothing is downloaded. Syntyaxis runs no server and receives no data from the app.
Deleting your data
Settings › Reset progress erases levels, stars, coins and your streak on the device. Deleting the app removes everything the app stored. Data Google collected while serving ads is handled by Google under its policy; the choices above limit it going forward, and Google's My Ad Center lets you manage it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described in the app's release notes.
